DESIGN ATTRACTION

WE COLLABORATED WITH CHICAGO CANDLE CO. TO DEVELOP SOCIAL MEDIA POSTER DESIGNS AIMED AT EXPANDING THEIR CUSTOMER BASE. THROUGH STRATEGIC A/B TESTING, WE IDENTIFIED THE MOST EFFECTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTION FOR ENGAGING AND CONVERTING NEW AUDIENCES.

THE BARRIER TO SCALE

CHICAGO CANDLE CO. RELIED HEAVILY ON PHONE SHOTS FOR SOCIAL MEDIA, WHICH HELPED RETAIN EXISTING CUSTOMERS BUT DID LITTLE TO ATTRACT NEW ONES. WE STEPPED IN TO ELEVATE THEIR VISUAL STRATEGY, USING A/B TESTING TO IDENTIFY DESIGNS THAT APPEAL TO A BROADER AUDIENCE AND DRIVE NEW CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT.

DESIGN A

THIS DESIGN COMBINES TEXTURED GRAPHICS WITH FAMILIAR, COZY ELEMENTS TO CREATE A WARM, INVITING SCENE. THE DESIGN AIMS TO CONNECT WITH VIEWERS EMOTIONALLY WHILE HIGHLIGHTING THE BRAND'S RELATABLE, RELAXED VIBE.

FONT & COPYWRITING – WE USED THE BRAND’S SIGNATURE FONT WITH THE MESSAGE “PLAY, LIGHT, RELAX” TO CREATE AN INVITING TONE THAT DRAWS CONSUMERS IN.

LIGHTING – A DIM, COZY LIGHTING SETUP WAS USED TO HIGHLIGHT BOTH THE CANDLE AND THE ACTION OF PLAYING MUSIC, CREATING A CALM, RELAXED MOOD.

FAMILIARITY – SINCE CONSUMERS OFTEN LIGHT CANDLES DURING THEIR DOWNTIME, WE STYLED THE SHOT WITH GLASSES OF ALCOHOL TO PAIR WITH THE CANDLE’S SCENT PROFILE, MAKING THE SCENE FEEL RELATABLE AND IMMERSIVE.

PRODUCT SHOT – A FOCUSED, AESTHETIC VISUAL OF THE CANDLE WAS CAPTURED TO SHOWCASE THE PRODUCT IN ITS BEST LIGHT AND ENHANCE ITS DESIRABILITY.

DESIGN B (1)

THIS DESIGN USES SEASONAL VISUALS, FALL TEXTURES, AND WARM COLOR PALETTES TO EVOKE A SENSE OF COMFORT AND LIMITED-TIME EXCITEMENT. THE GOAL IS TO CREATE AN EMOTIONAL RESPONSE THAT DRIVES SEASONAL PURCHASING BEHAVIOR AND REINFORCES BRAND RELEVANCE.

FONT & COPYWRITING – THE HAND-DRAWN, TEXTURED TYPOGRAPHY AND SEASONAL TAGLINE "IT’S HERE TO STAY FOR THE SEASON" WERE CHOSEN TO POSITION THE SCENT AS A LIMITED-TIME, MUST-HAVE LAUNCH, DRIVING URGENCY AND ENGAGEMENT.

LIGHTING – A BRIGHT, CLEAN LIGHTING APPROACH WAS USED TO SHOWCASE THE CANDLE’S COLOR AND FLAME WHILE SUPPORTING A FRESH, INVITING FALL AESTHETIC SUITABLE FOR DIGITAL PROMOTION.

FAMILIARITY – FALL LEAVES, WARM TONES, AND A RUM-INSPIRED SCENT STORY LEVERAGE RECOGNIZABLE AUTUMN CUES TO CREATE INSTANT SEASONAL ASSOCIATION AND EMOTIONAL CONNECTION.

PRODUCT SHOT – AN ELEVATED, MINIMAL PRODUCT VIEW ALLOWS THE CANDLE TO REMAIN THE HERO WHILE SUPPORTING A PREMIUM, STRATEGIC PRESENTATION FOR SOCIAL AND RETAIL CAMPAIGNS.

THIS DESIGN USES SMOKE TEXTURES, WARM COLOR PALETTES, AND FAMILIAR VISUAL CUES TO EVOKE A SENSE OF COMFORT AND NOSTALGIA. IT’S CRAFTED TO MAKE THE VIEWER NOT JUST SEE THE SCENT BUT FEEL THE MOOD BEHIND IT.

FONT & COPYWRITING – THE HAND-TEXTURED TYPOGRAPHY AND DESCRIPTIVE LANGUAGE WERE SELECTED TO POSITION THE PRODUCT AS ARTISANAL AND PREMIUM, APPEALING TO CONSUMERS WHO VALUE CRAFT AND AUTHENTICITY.

LIGHTING – THE CONTROLLED, LOW-LIGHT ENVIRONMENT CREATES A SENSE OF DEPTH AND FOCUS, REINFORCING THE PRODUCT’S SOPHISTICATED, SENSORY EXPERIENCE WHILE ENSURING THE CANDLE REMAINS IN THE VISUAL ANCHOR.

FAMILIARITY – VISUAL CUES LIKE SMOKE AND RECYCLED GLASS BOTTLES LEVERAGE RECOGNIZABLE LIFESTYLE ASSOCIATIONS, CAMPFIRES, COCKTAILS, AND COZY SETTINGS TO DRIVE EMOTIONAL CONNECTION AND BRAND RECALL.

PRODUCT SHOT – THE DIRECT, MINIMAL PRODUCT DISPLAY WAS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT CLARITY, ELEVATE PERCEIVED VALUE, AND PROVIDE A HIGH-END LOOK SUITABLE FOR DIGITAL MARKETING AND RETAIL APPLICATIONS.
